Bowl of broth

Easy Broth Recipes

Depending on where you look, it can sometimes be hard to find packaged stocks that don’t have added ingredients. Did you know it is super easy to make your own? Try out one of the recipes below. It takes no time at all and you are left with a ton of broth that can be stored in the fridge or even frozen for future use. Not only is it healthier for you, but you will save a ton of money too!

Vegetable broth- Save your vegetable ends throughout the week and throw them into a slow cooker (or a large pot on the stove) with some water and cook for 4 - 6 hours on low heat. (Store the vegetable ends in a zip lock bag in the fridge so they are ready when you are)

Chicken Broth- Add chicken bones, water, and vegetable ends (optional) to your slow cooker (or large pot on the stove) and cook for 4 - 6 hours on low heat.

Beef Broth- Add beef bones, water, and vegetable ends (optional) to your slow cooker (or large pot on the stove) and cook for 4 - 6 hours on low heat.

Bone Broth- Add bones (beef or chicken) to your slow cooker (or large pot on the stove) and cook for 24 - 72 hours on low heat. Note: if you're not comfortable leaving the pot to simmer overnight, turn off the heat and let it sit overnight, then turn it back on and let simmer all day the next day.
