Dates as a Sugar Substitute

People are always on the hunt for a “healthy” sweetener. No such thing, right? Well, what if we told you that you could make a sweetener out of fruit? We’re talking about Raw Date Syrup! It’s also super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup pitted dates (any kind)

Directions

  1. Pour the water into a bowl and add the dates
  2. Cover and leave in refrigerator for at least 24 hours, stirring it throughout the process
  3. The dates will dissolve into the water and turn into a syrup that can replace any type of syrup or liquid sweetener! You can even add a tsp. of vanilla, cinnamon or ginger if you want to change the flavor.
